BISHOP GAMMILL RECEIVES COMMENDATION FROM GOVENOR HALEY BARBOUR

On Sunday, October 15,2006, Bishop A.D. Gammill, Jr., was presented commendation and recognition for "the commemoration of nine faithful years to the ministry at Lakeview Church of God and for the outstanding impact you have had on the spiritual community of Columbia, Mississippi" from Governor Haley Barbour. Bishop Gammill also received "recognition of outstanding Honesty, Integrity, and Dedication" and was appointed "Honorary State Auditor of State of Mississippi" by Phil Bryant, Leutinent Govenor and Former State Auditor of Mississippi. The presentations were made by Mr. Mick Bullock, Director of Publications. Congratulations Pastor Gammill.

Pastor Gammill was inducted into Who's Who Among Religious Leaders, January 25, 2007 for his "exceptional work in his related field in his denomination". Congratulations Pastor Gammill.
Pastor Gammill is an ordained bishop in the Church of God and District Overseer for the South Central District in Mississippi and is listed among "Who's Who Among Religious Leaders". He previously served on the State Youth and Christian Education Board for Mississippi and served two terms on the Mississippi State Council. He has been a member of the State Licensure Board since 2002. In 2008 He was elected again to the State Council in Mississippi. Pastor Gammill has mentored several young ministers in the Church of God. Many of these ministers have become pastors, youth leaders, and evangelists. Before pastoring, Pastor Gammill served the church 15 years in youth ministry and as a part-time evangelist. He has been in pastoral ministry since 1989 and has been at Lakeview since October, 1997. On October 15, 2006, Bishop Gammill received a commendation and recognition by Governor Haley Barbour for outstanding spiritual service to the Columbia community and as Pastor of Lakeview Church of God for 9 years. He was also awarded the honor "Honorary State Auditor" by Phil Bryant, Leutinent Govenor and former State Auditor of Mississipppi for integrity, honesty and character. Bishop Gammill was also inducted into the "Who's Who in Religion" Hall of Fame in January 2007 for his work in the field of Religion.
Bishop Gammill is married to Diane Gammill, also a licensed minister and teacher at Columbia High School, and they have three children. Mary is married to Michael Dewayne Moree of Columbia. Both are graduates of Lee University and are presently serving as Student Life Ministers at Forest Hill Church of God in Mobile, Alabama. Jonathan and William currently live in Columbia. Jonathan in employed by Rowan Companies in Houston, Texas and William is employed in Columbia. Pastor Gammill and Diane sing and all three children sing and play instruments. They have two grandchildren, Joah Michael Moree and Jaela Elise Moree.
